Not So Fast! Food Truck

"Not So Fast! is the first Paleo & Primal friendly fast food truck in San Diego, California offering local and pastured meats & eggs, wild caught seafood, and vegetables & fruit."

One of the first things I did upon the decision to move to San Diego was research Paleo Food options in the area. I was surprised to find several options with just a simple google search. The Not So Fast Food Truck especially intrigued me. It took me a month to actually make it there due to inconvenient locations. The truck is located in different locations throughout SD, usually an industrial business parking lot. They have a schedule on their website for where the truck will be each lunch and/or dinner shift.

Hubby and I finally made it for lunch one hot afternoon. It was the perfect post workout meal. The truck had about 10 items to chose from, all sounding delicious. The items were a bit pricey, but I don't mind when I am getting fresh food that I can actually eat (all paleo). (They have a sample menu on their website.)

It took only about 10 minutes to get our food.

Hubby ordered the EL PAVO DIABLO - Free Range Turkey Burger w/ Grilled Jalapeños, Roasted Red Peppers and Spicy Garlic Aioli (about $11). It was served in a lettuce wrap with banana chips. He added a fried egg on top as well ($1). I ordered the LOBSTER TACOS - tomatoes, onion, avocado, limes ($15). Also served in lettuce wraps with banana chips. We ordered the BOMB BOMB HASH - Sweet Potato Hash topped with Bacon & Avocado ($5). It was a good sized portion for sharing. All of our choices were incredible.

We will return to check out more of the other menu choices. What a great find! I am so thankful to live in California, where there are people that are health conscious and businesses supporting that! Do you live somewhere that it is easy to make healthy choices? If so what are your favorite places?
