Growing up, Danielle did countless years of competitive gymnastics and vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). She competed in her first vaulting competition at age 3. She was also a cheerleader throughout Junior High and High school. Danielle began coaching vaulting at age 12, and throughout the years she took many teams to compete at the National Championships. She also taught gymnastics during High School and college as a certified instructor. At age 14 Danielle was the youngest competitor on Monte Vista Christians’ Varsity Cheer Squad. That year the squad was undefeated and took home 1st place from Nationals. After completing a BA program at SJSU for Psychology, Danielle completed NASM to become a Certified Personal Trainer. She has now since been nominated Runner-Up for Best Personal Trainer in the Santa Cruz Good Times yearly Best of for 2013 & 2014, as well as Runner-up for Best Fitness Instructor for 2013. She opened Killen Fitness in 2014 and offers all types of physical training, primarily focusing on women's fitness and wellness at all ages. Kickboxing was one of her first loves and classes she taught locally. Currently private kickboxing or boxing is offered at the studio. Danielle has since completed her 200hr Yoga Teaching Certification thru Yoga Alliance @ Hapa Yoga in San Diego. She has taught Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin styles of yoga. She also has certifications for teaching TRX and A Senior Fitness Specialist Certification. Danielle is also a certified Primal Health Coach and offers counseling for nutrition and full body wellness based on Primal principals. This can include macro-nutrient coaching as well.


Danielle is a Beauty Counter Consultant - sharing the clean beauty world with as many people as possible. Beautycounter offers skincare and cosmetics with the cleanest and safest ingredients available. She is a current ambassador for several companies. Personal Training is designed specifically for the client, based on his or her ability and needs; designing a workout regime that fits the client's needs and progresses at a safe and mainatinable pace. Any type of training I offer (kickboxing, strength, plyometrics, yoga) can be done in a one-on-one session. Training can be indoor, outdoor or virtually. Also available in semi-private sessions.   


            GROUP TRAINING


Group Training is a little less personal, but one of my favorite ways to train clients! Whether you are with a group of friends, your partner, or I combine individuals that prefer a group setting, this is a fun way to get it done! The motivation is high in these settings, everyone encouraging one another and progressing as a group. Relationships are made or strengthened. Sessions are also more affordable, as you share the cost with others. Group Training can also be done for any type of training I offer, including virtually. 



I offer Primal Health Coaching and programming. Together we will discuss your current dietary and movement habits.  We will discuss what changes can be made to increase your health and well-being! Let's get you feeling and functioning your absolute best. I frequently host challenges via the web as a way to offer a community support group.
